Can thrombosed piles be infected?

First of all, a thrombosed piles occurs when the blood vessels in the piles region develop blood clots inside. Thrombosed piles can be very painful sometimes. The itching around the anus, bleeding while passing the stool can also lead to infection of thrombosed piles. Fever, redness around the anus region where the infection is present are symptoms associated with infection caused due to thrombosed piles. 

 If a thrombosed piles becomes infected it can lead to an abscess. The infection may cause pus to form around the glands surrounding the piles. The glands filled with pus might burst and may release the infection materials only to aggravate and cause an abscess. So it is always prudent to get yourself treated for your piles immediately.
